Sweet Summer Strawberry Biscuits
In my personal opinion, strawberry anything is so good. Getting into baking, ive always wanted to tackle a strawberry baked good. At first, I thought it would be easy, just add strawberries & BOOM, strawberry dish completed. To my surprise adding strawberries just isnt enough. And I really didnt want to add any artificial strawberry flavor to it. That's so out.
I went to good old Google & asked this question, "how to intensify a strawberry flavor without adding artificial flavorings"
I saw on this blog page that the best way to intensify a strawberry flavor was to use a technique called macerating. Basically you add sugar to the strawberries & let it sit. This will create a strawberry syrup that will enhance the whole strawberry experience.
I did this & let me tell ya. It was pretty good! I will admit, maybe it's not as strong as your traditional napoleon, strawberry part of the ice cream but the flavor is there. Its just enough to know its supposed to be strawberry flavored.
Ill probably keep tinkering this recipe to enhance it even more.
