Raspberry & Chocolate Smoothie

I love sweets and when I say I love them, I LOVE THEM. The phrase having a sweet tooth is an understatement for me. To control these urges and decrease my desire for processed and packaged sweet treats, I have created multiple treats and smoothies.

This smoothie is a combination of raspberries and chocolate together. It reminds me of one of my favorite chocolate bars from way-back-when, Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Bar with Raspberries. I love this combinations because the raspberries are a little sour but is also sweet at the same time which in my opinion compliments the chocolate so well.

For any chocolate protein drink I like to use a vanilla protein powder with 2 tbsp of special dark cocoa powder from Hersey’s. I find this to be the best way to make chocolate meal replacement smoothies. In this recipe specially I used the Orgain Organic Creamy Fudge Chocolate Protein Powder and then added 1 tbsp of the special dark cocoa powder for extra chocolate flavor but this is totally optional.
