Peanut Butter Jelly Time Smoothie

As basic as this may come to some of you, it's the truth…..I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, especially for snacks.

Anytime my mom didn’t feel like cooking, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches were the staple and honestly, I didn’t mind it one bit.

Unfortunately, jelly alone has over 13g of carbs in just one tablespoon! Let’s be real here, when you make a PB&J, who just puts 1 tablespoon of jelly in there. Unless you prefer your sandwich on the drier side. Most peanut butters are made with unnecessary added sugars, not the best oils and don’t get me started about the bread. Basically a tiny meal with big carbs to give.

Dont get me wrong, I do not believe in restricting yourself of any food. Restrictions can cause cravings so it’s best to just eat everything in moderation. But sometimes you have to think, if you can have more for less, which one are you going to pick? I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but I’ll rather consume something that has only 16g net carbs then consume a sandwich with 45g of net carbs.
